Under the direction of the Director of Care (D.O.C.) provides nursing services to residents and supervises Registered Practical Nurses and non-registered staff. As a member of the Care Team assists in the development and implementation of resident care plans and regularly assesses individual clinical status. Actively participates in the meetings and committees of the Nursing Department to ensure the provision of optimal standards of nursing care.
The Registered Nurse-In-Charge is responsible and accountable for the operation of the Home and the welfare of the residents in the absence of the Executive Director or his designate .
