Unit Details:
" Type: PCU
" Beds: 22 (16 rooms)
" Avg. Daily Census: 20
" Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
" Common Diagnoses: Burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery (flaps, grafts, leech therapy), urology, GYN, ENT, oral/maxillofacial surgeries.
" Special Procedures: Burn dressings, flap checks, leech therapy.
" Systems: EPIC (documentation), Pyxis (medication).
" Support Services Available: IV/pharmacy, respiratory, PT, social work, transport, rapid response.
Shift Information:
" 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
" Every other/third weekend coverage required
" Floating within OSU required
Certifications Required:
" BLS, ACLS
Experience:
" 2+ years of recent PCU experience (with like patient population)
" Previous charge RN experience preferred
