Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Fresh Meadows, NY (Queens)
Hours/Days: 4/10 hour days, Mon,Tue,Thu, Fri 8a-6p (RDO Wednesday) Organization: New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS)
In This Role, You Will:
- Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, as well as supportive care medications as prescribed by a physician
- Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.
- Monitor and chart vital signs, document in the medication administration record
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge
- Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol
- Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness
- Teach patients and caregivers families regarding treatment expectations.
