Overview
Works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers and assumes responsibility for the smooth and effective operation of the hospital in the absence of the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing. Assists team members in the interpretation and application of facility policy. Coordinates the provision of appropriate staffing levels and resources for quality patient care. Makes rounds throughout the facility to assess facility operations and respond effectively to situations that arise. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served within Facility. The Nursing Supervisor may work in a variety of settings and roles within Riverside Health System.
