Job Description
The Ambulatory Care department provides outpatient services to patients across multiple specialties, including but not limited to urology, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ENT, and plastic surgery.
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) plays an essential role in supporting physicians and/or surgeons in clinic settings, delivering direct nursing care to patients, and contributing to the safe, effective, and efficient functioning of the clinics. The RPN may be required to float to other clinics depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care within the scope of practice defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), hospital policies, and unit standards.
- Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
