Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to serve as a Unit Nurse. The role includes daily supervision of staff, coordination of resident care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform the functions of a Registered Practical Nurse in accordance with the Standards of Nursing Practice for Registered Practical Nurse developed by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Consult with the Team Lead regarding changes in residents' condition, adverse events, or as needed.
- Effectively implement the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation.
- Monitor, implement, and adhere to legislation, standards, policies, and procedures of the LTC home.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with family members for timely updates and support.
