Cardiac Petct Rn
The Cardiac PETCT RN provides direct patient care to Cardiac PETCT patients. Plans and implements individualized care using the nursing process. Coordinates all Cardiac PETCT care in patient-focused manner.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Supplies Cardiac PET/CT Clinical Support
- Administer pharmacologic stress agents (e.g., Regadenoson, Adenosine, Dobutamine) in accordance with established protocols
- Perform IV access and ensure patency for radiopharmaceutical and medication administration
- Monitor patients continuously during stress and imaging phases:
- ECG rhythm
- Blood pressure
- Oxygen saturation
- Patient symptoms
Conduct pre-procedure assessment including:
- Medical history review
- Medication reconciliation
- Contraindication screening for stress agents
