Job Description
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to work under the Pharmacy Manager to receive, prepare, dispense, and deliver medication prescriptions accurately and on time. The role also includes inventory management, patient counseling, public relations outreach, cost control, and training of new team members.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
- Ensure medication and over‑the-counter supplement inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs.
- Provide patient counseling regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive and proactive manner.
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations events (public health days, clinics, etc.).
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctors’ requests/issues.
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary).
