The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Transcriptionist to join our Clinical Transcription Service based at Middlemore Hospital. This full‑time position (40 hours Monday to Friday, business hours) involves supporting a wide range of clinical services through accurate and timely medical transcription.
About You
We consider applicants with previous medical experience or those who, although lacking a medical background, have proven fast and accurate Dictaphone typing skills for this busy, fast‑paced environment.
- Dictaphone typing/Transcription experience
- Minimum typing speed of 55 words per minute
- Intermediate level of MS Office Word and Outlook
- Awareness and understanding of patient confidentiality
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
