Research Fellow in “Deploying geometrically-designed algorithms”
The Nanyang Quantum Solutions team led by Prof. Marek Gluza at NTU Singapore is seeking a new member to tailor quantum circuits based on geometrically motivated approaches capable of preparing cold quantum many-body states with not too many operations so prototypes of quantum computers can run these. This is a postdoc position, you must have a PhD degree.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide computer code in python or Julia to get actual gate counts in Qrisp after optimization which will improve beyond analytical upper bounds based on triangle inequalities with the goal to bring down resource estimates to the hardware level.
Validate feasibility of low energy state preparation for 2d models on commercially available hardware (Helios of Quantinuum or IBM Heron) and liaise with providers using neutral atoms.
