Research Lab Technician I

The Neuropathology Core/Brain Bank of the USC Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center seeks a Research Technician I to join our research team. Under the supervision of Director Dr. Annie Hiniker, Norman and Mary Pattiz Foundation Endowed Associate Professor , this technician will perform Brain Bank biological laboratory work, with a focus on implementing a digital pathology library. Under supervision, this position is responsible for assisting with scientific aspects of the Neuropathology core including human brain processing, accession, immunostaining, sample organization, slide scanning, and data management and acquisition. The position requires experience in basic biologic lab techniques and excellent organizational skills. Familiarity with pathologic diagnosis and neurodegenerative disease is preferred.
