Research Software Engineer / Staff Scientist, permanent, full time. Start: Autumn 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide software development and consulting services to research groups.
- Offer one‑on‑one and group support in software, programming, Linux, data, and infrastructure.
- Assist researchers on short‑term projects to enhance their independent competence.
- Act as a role model for open science best practices.
- Contribute to teaching and research infrastructure support as needed.
- Continuously learn new skills as part of the team.
Qualifications
- PhD with experience in computational research and knowledge of practical computing strategies, or
- Software developer or computational scientist with strong background in software, open source, Linux, scientific computing, and research experience.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
