Responsibilities: Agree to detailed programmes of work - time chart and representation on site plans Check that all necessary drawings and instructions have been given to contractors and authorisations obtained, in accordance with the agreed programme Check that materials are ordered in good time and permits OK. Check that all construction work is carried out in a safe manner, and that the site is kept secure See that requirements of specifications in regard to materials and workmanship are complied with by contractors. This includes sample tests of material and workmanship. Watch for faulty workmanship and material incorporated in the works and to issue instructions for rectifications Check line and level and layout of structure during erection and that intentions of contract drawings are adhered to Check structural slab beam and column sizes and reinforcements placed and that intent of design details are followed Keep a record of all measurements and tests and to bring plans into con...
