Job Description
The Role
- We are seeking an engaging, innovative teacher who has strong communication skills and is a collaborative team player as these skills will be needed in all you do.
- You will be required to work in mainstream schools and other specialist schools to work closely with DHH students, whānau and school staff/teams. This is a permanent, fulltime role. The caseload for this role covers Bethells Beach - Onehunga and Titirangi - Taupaki.
- Engage within your assigned caseload with related record keeping and liaison with families and whanau to assist with student participation and success in their education and life outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven best practice and experience working with Deaf children and/or working with mainstream children.
- Qualified Teacher of the Deaf or an experienced NZ registered teacher.
- Current, clean driver’s licence.
