Job Description
The role is responsible for independently or under the supervision of senior therapists all respiratory therapy interventions, taking into consideration the patient’s best interest.
Responsibilities
- Performs respiratory care procedures as per established policy and procedures, i.e. if required under the direction of senior staff and physicians
- Assumes responsibility for operating autonomously, utilizing critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Oversees and highlights the shortage of materials to senior staff or supervisor at the earliest convenience, ordering replenishments when necessary
- Participates in the development and modification of respiratory care management plans and therapeutic goals for patients with cardiopulmonary diseases in consultation with physicians
