Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory therapy: assists with in-service education and provides input into program development. Responsibilities Performs diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions and follow-ups as related to respiratory therapy such as assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and providing support initiating/maintaining mechanical ventilation support of adults, children and infants, providing airway management, patient evaluation, and daily care of patients as prescribed. Maintains documentation by ensuring reports, records and workload statistics are complete and accurate according to established departmental standards. Participates in the interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care goals, therapeutic/diagnostic strategies and program related issues.
