Job Description
Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse
The position supports the cardiovascular operating room during procedures. The nurse will circulate for various surgeries including CABG, AVR, MVR, BENTALL, TAVR, lung procedures (both open and robotic), Fem-Pop, fistula creation, and other cardiovascular and thoracic procedures. Proficiency in skills such as CVOR, atrial septal defect repair, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), MAZE procedures, mitral valve replacement, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is essential. Knowledge of fire safety, cell saver protocols, administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling and labeling, and universal protocol procedures is required. Wound management experience is also necessary.
