Position Summary
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients and their families in a safe environment. The nurse functions at the Proficient level (Benner, Novice to Expert Nursing Theory) and follows the competency checklist of the assigned unit. The role is accountable for effective leadership and direction of the nursing care team, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and personal care. The nurse must perform all patient care and operational tasks, subject to reasonable accommodations, and employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures. Participation in the Respiratory Protection Program, including wearing a respirator, is required, which necessitates a clean‑shaven face.
This is a union position. FTE: 0.3 (12‑hour shift) days.
Qualifications
Education
Registered nurse license required. B.S.N. preferred.
