Safety Coordinator

Job Description:
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for the development, monitoring and evaluation of all vehicles, industrial and employee safety programs and procedures at all District facilities and sites.

Examples of Essential Functions:

Conduct trend analyses for accidents and provides information to Bus Transportation and others.

Attend Joint Safety Committee meetings and collaborate with management on safety concerns brought forward and actions taken for resolution.

Maintain Automated External Defibrillator program.

Work with other staff and/or consultants to assist in the creation of training and education materials for a safe working environment.

Meet regularly with Bus and paratransit contract oversight personnel to assure compliance with safety regulations.

Maintain and submit Hazardous Materials Business Plans for both North and South Base to local regulatory agencies.
