Job Description
An established, growing heavy civil General Contractor is looking for a Safety Manager to join their team in the Tacoma/Seattle area. You will be responsible for working alongside field teams to maintain and grow the existing safety culture.
This is a leadership role - leading people directly, identifying areas for improvement, and maintaining a strong culture of compliance.
The Role:
- Undertake project safety inspections, incident investigations and audits - reporting back to leadership regarding best practice and corrective measures needed
- Provide support in the development and implementation of safety training for superintendents and job-site teams
- Prepare project related safety documents e.g. monthly safety statistics
- Ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations e.g. OSHA
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with project based staff e.g. sub-contractors, suppliers
