Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The Genetics Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory procedures according to prescribed policies and procedures. Work involves testing that supports the diagnosis of hereditary and somatic diseases using nucleic acids.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Laboratory TechnologyPossession of an accredited Genetics Technology program cerification (or equivalent) certification.Holds a practicing license and in standing with the New Brunswick Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists (NBSMLT)Ability to attend work on a regular basis.Ability to perform the duties of the position.Good work record.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
