Job Description
Elbow Bread is a 1.5 year-old retail bakery + cafe from baker Zoë Kanan, opened in collaboration with Court Street Grocers + S&P Lunch. Our shop sits at the elbow-shaped corner of the Lower East Side and Chinatown, where we draw inspiration from the neighborhood’s history and bring a fresh perspective to classic New York baking.
We’re a small-batch bakery that prizes freshness by baking product throughout the day to stock our storefront. Our offerings range from sourdough loaves and braided challah to inventive takes on laminated pastry, pretzels, knish, babka, cakes, and beyond.
We’re looking for an experienced sandwich maker with a culinary background who’s excited to grow with us and contribute to a baker-owned-and-operated project that aims to fuel our neighborhood and community with good food, coffee, and hospitality.
