The Scaler Operator will be responsible for safely operating the scaler machine, ensure the working areas have safe highwall conditions.
Role Context
Equipment Operations
- Ensure safe operating of the scaler machine.
- To clean open pit high wall by removing loose or dangerous rocks.
- Ensure the working areas have safe highwall conditions.
- Perform daily checks as indicated on the checklist of the Scaler to ensure that machine is safe to use before commencing with work.
- Perform a brake test procedure to check quality of brakes.
- Report any defects or sub-standards to the responsible foreman or supervisor.
