Summary Of Work Activities And Responsibilities
The Carpenter II performs general carpentry work for the repair, maintenance, and construction of structural woodworks and wooden furniture in the University. The position also covers masonry, painting, roof and gutter repair, glass work, and minor welding tasks, as needed. In addition, the Carpenter II assists in post-construction activities and carries out job order requests, including those related to University events.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
I. Woodwork Construction and Building Repairs
- Measures and marks construction materials to guide woodwork fabrication and installation.
- Shapes, assembles, and finishes rough and fine woodworks.
- Installs hardware such as hinges, knobs, and other accessories.
- Repairs and replaces broken, damaged, or rotten wooden parts of furniture and building fixtures, including tables, chairs, doors, and similar items.
