Scientific Research Assistant Position (100%)
We are looking for a motivated candidate to join the Bischofberger Lab at the University of Basel to investigate hippocampal cognition using in‑vivo calcium imaging, optogenetics, chemogenetics and patch‑clamp techniques.
Responsibilities
- Participate in experimental neuroscience projects investigating hippocampal information processing and cognitive plasticity
- Perform in‑vivo calcium imaging experiments in freely moving mice
- Support and conduct stereotaxic surgeries and behavioural experiments
- Conduct in‑vitro patch‑clamp recordings and data analysis
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary research team
- Contribute to laboratory organisation and scientific discussions
