Job Description

Drew University is seeking a Seasonal Weekend Boiler Operator for day and night shifts in the Facilities Department. This is a part-time, seasonal weekend position that will operate from the start to the end of the heating season, approximately October 1st to May 1st. Employee will be responsible for the continuous, reliable and safe operation of all University building hot water and low-pressure steam boiler plants and associated heating systems. Primary duties will include monitoring boiler performance, conduct routine inspections, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Additional duties may be assigned.

 Key Responsibilities:  

  • Operate and maintain single and multiple fuel-fired water and/or fire tube boilers and associated auxiliary equipmentat the central heating plant as well as all other building boiler plants.
