Job Description
We are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Sunderland to recruit an SEMH Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.
The school caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs alongside Autism and associated learning difficulties. Staff work collaboratively to provide a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering creative and personalised lessons
- Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
- Building positive and trusting relationships with learners
- Implementing behaviour support strategies consistently
- Working alongside wider pastoral and clinical teams
- Contributing to EHCP reviews and progress monitoring
