We are working in partnership with a highly supportive and well‑resourced secondary SEN school in the Rochdale area, who are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.
This is a full‑time position supporting pupils aged 11–19 with autism and severe learning difficulties. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing, structured and person‑centred environment where every young person is supported to achieve their potential both academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with autism and severe learning difficulties in both classroom and small‑group environments.
- Delivering tailored support plans under the direction of class teachers and the SENCO.
- Using communication systems such as PECS, visual timetables, or other structured approaches.
- Promoting emotional regulation, independence, and social development.
