SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School (ASC & SEMH Support)
Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Pay: £95–£100 per day
Hours: Full‑Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026
About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist children with ASC, SEMH and additional learning needs to access the curriculum
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
- Work alongside teachers and the SENDCO to implement personalised support strategies
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence and engagement
- Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
