Position Summary
Spencer Stuart seeks a Senior Accountant to work with the Finance Manager Germany and the corporate accounting team, assisting in all facets of financial transaction processing, monthly closes, year‑end close and audits.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual fiscal close, including balance sheet and profit‑loss reconciliation.
- Support reporting and year‑end close processes in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
- Conduct independent analysis and reconciliation of accounts, prepare journal entries.
- Accept and allocate inter‑company charges daily; reconcile balances with local accountants and oversee foreign exchange differences.
- Manage fixed assets, post and document bank transactions; reconcile bank accounts in multiple currencies.
- Document cash batches, reconcile accounts receivable balances monthly, run settlement runs.
