Job Description
**A Day in the Life:**
The Senior Accountant is responsible for General Ledger account reconciliations and monthly journal entry preparations. Ensures compliance with Hertz policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Assist in driving continuous process and procedural improvements.
We expect the starting salary to be around $85,000; the actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Reconcile and/or approve assigned general ledger accounts of highest-level complexity (with corresponding evidential support)
+ Assist in facilitation and completion monthly close procedures
+ Provide quarter end and year end reporting deliverables to tax and financial reporting teams
+ Complete SOX 404 controls related to critical accounting processes
+ Analyze accounts to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis, and proper accounting procedures have been followed
