Job Description
A senior accounting analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity of a company’s financial records and ensuring compliance with GAAP, government policies, and internal controls.
Core duties include: 1.
Financial Reporting & Close Support Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Investigate unusual variances and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to generally-accepted accounting principles and accounting standards 2.
Balance Sheet Integrity Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts.
Investigate unusual variances and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for all reconciliations.
Financial Analysis Conduct detailed analysis of profit and loss accounts Provide margin, cost and usage analyses Develop insights to help management understand business drivers of performance.
