What the role is:
The Senior Analytical Scientist will be involved in laboratory activities, lead research and development, and support the quality assurance activities as required or assigned.
What you will be working on: Technical Duties- To provide quality examination and reporting of routine/non-routine samples and seizure exhibits in a timely manner.
- To supervise and provide advice to junior scientists and laboratory officers on standard and investigative cases, ensuring cases meet turn-around-time (TAT).
- To lead assigned research and development projects, and carry out method optimisation and validation studies.
- To participate in benchmark/collaborative inter-laboratory comparisons.
- To make publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- To review and improve testing procedures, quality control measures, and work processes to optimize throughput whilst maintaining analytical integrity.
