Requirements Client: Squad. Role company: Ellipsis Labs. Senior Backend Engineer, Generalist. Location: New York City, in-person 4 days/week at 120 Fifth Ave, Union Square. Compensation: $220K-$275K base plus equity and annual profit-sharing bonus. Visa: H-1B transfers and Canadian TN visas accepted. Ellipsis Labs builds Phoenix, the leading on-chain order book spot exchange on Solana and a top-10 decentralized exchange globally with $70B+ in volume. This is a generalist systems/backend role focused on core infrastructure across the platform, not a quant or trading role. The primary bar is CS fundamentals, system design, and the ability to architect and ship reliable high-performance backend systems independently.
