About This Opportunity
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and organizational leaders throughout CIRO, providing timely and practical legal advice on complex matters as they emerge
- Help teams move work forward with clear practical legal guidance
- Support CIRO’s oversight relationship with members of the Canadian Securities Administrators and help ensure CIRO meets its applicable obligations
- Perform legal review of material contracts and internal corporate policies
- Lead or assist in policy initiatives within the GCO’s mandate
- Retain and instruct external counsel in corporate/commercial matters
- Provide legal advice and support relating to CIRO regulatory and legal obligations
- Provide legal advice and support for CIRO’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and related corporate governance matters
