Senior Design Engineer
Our client is a manufacturer of livestock related farm equipment. The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for overseeing new product development projects, driving process and design improvements, and spearheading research and development initiatives. The role includes collaborating with the design/drafting team to conceptualize ideas, conduct thorough testing, and revise drawings, bills of materials, and operating procedures. They partner with production to identify process and production gaps, ensure product quality, and streamline builds. The Engineer also liaises with the supply chain and warranty team for service parts needs, warranty/failure analysis, and troubleshooting. They provide guidance to a team of designers, QA/QC, and production coaching, manage goals, align with commitments and KPIs, and approve drawings and calculations as required.
