Job Description
The Senior Draftsman HVAC specializes in the preparation of HVAC system shop drawings, ductwork layouts, equipment schedules, and coordination drawings. This senior role leads HVAC drafting output and mentors junior team members.
Key Responsibilities- Produce detailed HVAC shop drawings including ductwork layouts, equipment plans, sections, and details for AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems and chilled water distribution.
- Develop ductwork coordination drawings and resolve clashes with structural, civil and other MEP services.
- Prepare equipment schedules, material take‑offs and support procurement with drawing‑based quantities.
- Review and interpret HVAC engineering calculations, specifications and schematic designs.
- Manage HVAC drawing register and coordinate revision cycles with the design team.
