Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate fire sprinkler layouts using AutoCAD or Revit
- Be the authority on design drawings and specifications
- Ensure all drawings comply with ASIB (SANS 10287:2010) and FM Global standards
- Establish and maintain drafting standards and quality control processes
- Allocate resources and manage draughting team projects
- Oversee documentation for ASIB inspections and clearance certification
- Serve as liaison between the draughting department and other teams
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification + Advanced CAD certification
- ASIB Competency Certificate (Essential)
- Professional registration or certification (preferred)
- 8+ years drafting experience in fire protection or related field
- 3–5 years in a management or supervisory role
