Senior Engineer - Fuel Handling
Salary: £48,000-£63,000 DOE
Location: Manchester, Warrington or Derby, UK (hybrid)
We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to take ownership of the Fuel Handling System within the cutting‑edge RR‑SMR power station. This is a unique opportunity to lead the design and development of critical systems that enable safe and efficient fuel handling in a next‑generation nuclear facility.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the progressive design of systems including the refuelling pool, spent‑fuel pool, new fuel import system, cask loading system, and dry cask storage system.
- Drive design development through Technical Reviews (TRs), Gated Reviews (GRs), and Definition Reviews (DRs).
- Engage with senior stakeholders, conduct decision reviews, and document outcomes for phase‑gate processes.
- Own system definition, requirements, assumptions, and interfaces in the DOORS database. <...
