[What the role is]
The Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Group in NEA is Singapore’s national authority for radiation protection, safeguarding the public, radiation workers and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation. Our Regulation Division administers and enforces the Radiation Protection Act and Regulations through licensing, inspection, and enforcement.[What you will be working on]
As a Senior Scientific Officer/Executive Scientific Officer of the Ionising Radiation Control Department, you will enforce radiation safety regulations and advance Singapore’s radiation protection framework through:
- Administering the Radiation Protection Act and its Regulations, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all radiation users
- Reviewing and enhancing the regulatory regime by benchmarking against international best practices
