Position Summary
Adtran is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join our Ottawa-based hardware development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, development, and validation of complex telecom and networking hardware platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including system architecture, firmware, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver high‑quality, scalable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of high‑speed digital, mixed‑signal, and power electronics for networking and telecommunications products.
- Own full hardware development lifecycle from concept, requirements, and schematic design through layout, prototype bring‑up, validation, and production release.
- Perform board‑level design including component selection, high‑speed interfaces (Ethernet, SERDES), power distribution, EMC/EMI, and signal integrity.
