Senior Insurance Policy Advisor
Division: Insurance Department – Market Analysis and Policy
Salary: National (Edinburgh and Leeds) £53,800 – £67,200; London £59,200 – £73,800 (adjusted based on skills and experience)
Responsibilities
- Help lead policy projects on insurance matters, including assessing causes of harm to consumers and markets, developing and implementing remedies, and collaborating with policymakers, supervisors and other specialists across the FCA.
- Draft proposals, committee papers, guidance and other policy documents.
- Build productive relationships and manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide internal consultation to colleagues on existing rules applicable to insurance firms.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience drafting policy in a policy‑focused role with a good understanding of the FCA’s policy‑making process.
