**General Summary**
Design and engineer lighting and control systems for new construction and/or renovation of industrial, commercial, educational, governmental and healthcare structures in conformance to client requirements and applicable codes. Provide the engineering to develop the construction documents for the installation, interconnection and control of lighting systems.
**Essential Job Functions:**
+ Possess / demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to design or analyze electrical systems for the installation, interconnection, and control of electrical lighting components using applicable codes.
+ Select light fixtures and control systems appropriate for the application.
+ Perform lighting calculations using software-based calculation tools to evaluate lighting distribution and photometric levels.
