Legal Team at West Northants Council

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least two years’ post‑qualification experience in local government law, prosecutions, regulatory and general litigation to join our Legal Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in delivering high‑quality criminal and regulatory litigation for the Council.
- Manage a varied caseload and operate at a trusted senior level within the organisation.
- Represent the Council in courts and tribunals, advise Members and senior officers, and provide clear legal guidance.
- Support the Principal Lawyer and contribute to the development of the legal team.
- Play an active part in shaping a modern, flexible legal service that supports personal growth and long‑term career progression.
