The Senior CNC Manufacturing Engineer leads CNC programming, machining process development, nesting strategy, and composite ply manufacturing optimization for high precision composite components.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, validate, and optimize CNC programs for 3‑axis, 4‑axis, and 5‑axis machining centers used in composite‑component manufacturing.
- Lead nesting strategies for composite materials to maximize material utilization, reduce scrap, and support efficient kitting.
- Create, review, and optimize composite ply definitions, laminate schedules, and ply‑book documentation.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering to interpret CAD models, ply books, engineering drawings, and GD&T for composite structures.
