Responsibilities
Responsible for all Mortgage risk aspects of a portfolio of domestic and international private banking clients. Assess, analyse, structure, approve, implement and monitor Mortgage credit requests / transactions across private mortgages, income producing real estate (IPRE), construction and development loans. Provide credit advisory service to internal clients and work hand-in-hand with Mortgage Advisors and RM’s (first line of defense) to customise appropriate solutions for the end clients.
- Preparation and approval of credit limits within the delegated credit approval authority (depending on risk rating and amount)
- Determination of risk rating for a credit facility
- Assessment of borrower & collateral with regards to credit, structural, legal & compliance and reputational risk
- Identification of concentration risk in collateral and / or exposure
