Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file Form 941, 940, W-2, and other payroll tax forms
- Manage quarterly payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements
- Handle amended payroll filings and corrections
- Review payroll records for accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Respond to and resolve IRS payroll notices and payroll-related letters
- Research discrepancies in payroll tax filings and resolve compliance issues
- Coordinate corrections and adjustments when errors occur
- Communicate with government agencies such as the IRS and state workforce commissions
- Handle unemployment tax issues, payroll tax inquiries, and regulatory correspondence
- Manage documentation and compliance responses for payroll-related audits or notices
