Job Description

Great opportunity for a Senior PICs Engineer to join a growing Photonics team in leeds. The ideal candiate for this position is someone who has experience in a research/industrial environment for the development of PICs and can be a competent communicator with external partners.

Skills Required:

  • Developing new and improved chip-scale Photonics devices and circuits
  • R&D on PICs and photonic devices for quantum and/or optical communications applications
  •  On-chip component design, modelling, and chip layout design
  • Competent in use of photonic design & simulations tools such as Lumerical, IPKISS, and/or COMSOL
  • Development of electro-optic testbeds for verifying device and system performance
