A large consulting company with offices internationally and across South Africa is looking for a Senior Rock Engineer to join their growing team in Johannesburg.
Education and Qualifications
- Degree in Rock Mechanics, Engineering, Mining Engineering, Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering
- MSc advantageous
- Registered as Professional Engineer
- 15+ years’ experience either as a consultant or working for a mining company in rock engineering
- Open pit mine and/or underground investigation and/or design experience a must
- Understanding of African clients in the mining industry

- Working predominately on projects concerned with rock mechanics, including support and mine design.
- Open pit mine investigation and design.
