Location: New York or San Francisco hybrid, 3+ days/week in office. Compensation: $205K-$225K plus equity. Visa transfers accepted by default; new visas case-by-case. Openings: up to 12 seats. January is a Series B fintech transforming debt collections through AI, data science, and a borrower-first approach. Senior Engineers are backend-leaning but full-stack capable and operate like product owners: setting technical direction, owning outcomes, mentoring others, and collaborating across product/design/operations. Priority teams are Consumer Conversation, focused on LLM/AI-powered communication, and Client Experience, focused on data integrations and client-facing technical interfaces.
